Inspired by the dedication of the Sisters of Providence delivering medical care with compassion, dignity and respect, these values remain today. St. Joseph of the Pines' strength continues thanks to the generosity of our donors enabling vital services and programs to be available for our patients and residents. This allows St. Joseph of the Pines to remain a leader in skilled nursing care, assisted and independent living for seniors.

Recognition
Our donor wall is located in the lobby of the Health Center. It recognizes annual gifts received from $100+ with cumulative gifts of $2,500+ recognized on the Trees of Life. Each receives special benefits.

The Heritage Society is a special recognition program established to honor our donors who remember St. Joseph of the Pines with estate or planned gifts established during their lifetime. It is important we acknowledge our donors, however, we adhere to any anonymity one may desire.

Annual Gifts
Throughout the year supporting the mission of St Joseph of the Pines is accomplished in a variety of ways. The most popular method is through the unrestricted fund known as the Care and Compassion Fund which focuses on the greatest needs of St. Joseph of the Pines. In addition, a variety of restricted funds also further the mission by providing additional support. All these funds are described below.

Care and Compassion Fund
This is the unrestricted fund to support of the mission of St. Joseph of the Pines and provide for the ongoing needs throughout the organization. Over recent years, the greatest need has come to assist those patients who can no longer afford their care. Through the generosity of our community, this fund has helped St. Joseph of the Pines provide more charity care. We are one of few skilled nursing facilities that do not turn away its patients for lack of ability to pay.

Chapel Fund
The purpose of the Chapel Fund is to provide financial support for St. Joseph of the Pines Pastoral Care Program which sponsors the spiritual ministry at St. Joseph’s under the leadership of a fulltime chaplain who coordinates regularly scheduled multi-denominational services. Additionally, numerous programs and services are provided throughout the week bringing comfort and solace to patients, residents and their families.

Residents Assistance
Two funds are established: one for Belle Meade and one for Pine Knoll residents. Each is available to provide financial assistance should a current resident suffer financial hardship. Out of respect and dignity to the applicant’s personal circumstances, all applications are presented anonymously for review. Only the Director of Mission Services and Chief Operating Officer will know the identity of any applicant.
