St. Joseph of the Pines believes that true wellness is much more than merely physical health, exercise or nutrition. It isn’t simply getting the flu shot or lowering cholesterol level by a few of points. Rather, senior wellness is the full integration of states of physical, mental and spiritual well-being.

Senior Health & Wellness Designed for the Whole Person

Every dimension of senior wellness is threaded into all of the programs and services offered at SJP. We keep the mind and body engaged through social dinners, group exercise programs and life-long learning classes to name just a few of the ways we accomplish this.

From a spiritual and emotional perspective, we offer Catholic Mass and Protestant Worship in each of our three chapels, as well as scripture study, spiritual programs and service opportunities. You’ll find acceptance here and encouragement on your journey.

SJP is fortunate to have a state-of-the art-fitness center with functional fitness, strength and cardiovascular equipment, as well as a swimming pool. We offer an array of fitness classes, including Tai Chi, Yoga and Strength, and Water Aerobics. A certified Exercise Physiologist meets with residents to design programs to improve their health and fitness levels.

Each of these dimensions act and interact in a way that contributes to your quality of life. They overlap and coordinate to provide rich environments for living. Wellness becomes a framework that is valuable for serving the wants and needs of a person engaged in life. Contact Us to learn more.
