At St. Joseph of the Pines, we entrust our dedicated colleagues and, of course, our residents to bring our communities to life, but we couldn’t do it without the help and dedication from our volunteers. If you’re looking to make a difference in the lives of others for service, then a volunteer opportunity with SJP may be perfect for you.
St. Joseph of the Pines welcomes volunteers ranging in age from middle school to retirees, and offer a plethora of volunteer opportunities on our Southern Pines and Fayetteville campuses – from calling Bingo to leading a sing-a-long to simply visiting our residents and just being a friend. If you have a special interest or talent not listed among our volunteer opportunities, let’s discuss it!
Plus, did you know that volunteering is good for your health? A growing body of research indicates that volunteering provides individual health benefits in addition to social ones. Those who volunteer have lower mortality rates, greater functional ability, and lower rates of depression later in life than those who do not volunteer.
